![]() The additional elements of the rectangles and squares are also more structured as opposed to rounded and curved objects that are more free-flowing. My color scheme came directly from the autumn colors in the photos, which is a little more masculine and hopefully a little more eye-catching to the target audience. ![]() Because I used a landscape photo for the main photo on my first spread, I wanted to position it horizontally across both pages which gave it a more commanding presence. I wanted the beautiful photography to shine through, as Elder Goaslind’s talk is about how the beauty of nature can prompt us to have sacred spiritual experiences. My target audience was parents of the youth of the Church and the youth themselves, particularly the young men. His counsel can really apply to everyone, but he did speak directly to parents in a portion of the talk. His address was entitled “Spiritual Mountaintops” and talked about how important it is to individually seek-out personal temple-like experiences. We were asked to imagine that our employer (LDS.org or ) to take an article, and design and create a three-page magazine spread original layout which included one spread.
